Took Maggie pheasant and quail hunting today. That dog is the most impressive cockleburr magnet I have evver seen. It took me 2 and a half hours, with help from wifee, and about 1.5 cans of Pam cooking spray to get her picked clean. She is currently getting a bath courtesy of wifee, and is much happier. I pulled almost 2 gallons of the buggers off one bummed springer spaniel pup.
She did well, but we got nada. Only birds she got up were in range, but on the other side of a brush pile, and I couldn't i.d. them till it was too late.
What do you guys do to keep the burrs out?

I knew that was coming Denali. I had one, and will again. Probably getting a yellow lab pup next spring, if my buddy gets his dog bred. This years pups (11) went like hotcakes at $1200.00 per pup. Right now I'm first in line.
