I would like to do some winter lake fishing for trout around the Olympia area and was wondering whats the best method to use this time of year?

Well, if you are in the Olympia area I would either troll the central west bank of Black lake with a red wedding ring spinner with about half a night crawler trailing off of it. Or, if Summit Lake is still open year around, which it should be, go troll around kokanee cove. Both of those spots are pretty productive in the winter.

Summit lake isnt a year round lake.
My family has property on it.
As farback as I remember it hasnt been a year round lake but then again im only 25 years old!
