Fishing in Anchorage area?

Looks like I'll be going to the Anchorage area in July for a continuing medical education meeting and wanted to spend a few extra days fishing for salmon. Halibut would be a bonus, but that'll require a boat. I'm more than happy to fish from the bank, but need to know where. I can come in a few days early, or stay a few days late.
