Just got word from my buddy at Mustad that the company will be test marketing Partridge spey rods and reels next year in the B.C. market...with an eye to bringing them into the U.S. Currently, they're adding some fleece products and raingear that have been proven in the U.K. Apparently, the distributor there, Leeda, has some pretty good stuff that will be migrating this way.
Perhaps I should not have told him about BG and Fred's yearly outlay for rods...

I have placed another freeze on my fly fishing spends, too many rods, reel, lines, fly material not used enough and just keeps building.
Can't beleive the number of spey rod manufacturers that are appearing, just saw another new one to me: Echo ? A number of other manufacturers in europe that are not marketed here.
Think I am good on spey equipment this year except for another line or two and another reel spool for the new line.
It never ends

Keith, Partridge makes a very good line of products; well thought of in the UK. If you want to get some first hand info log on to http://flyforums.proboards53.com/. One of the major UK fly boards.
Marty would pull his hair out trying to corral these wild cats when they get on a rant .. but that's another story I'll let BG fill you in on.
Leeda (if mem. serves) is the main distributor for the Partridge product.
Oh, BG Echo rods have been around for some period of time. That said, fairly new in the spey rod market (at least in the US) Fred
