Decided to add the "kandy" to the nitro cured eggs today, holy s#*t. 1st cast and fish on! about an 8 lb. native, release and try again. 4 casts later the rod doubles over and tries to make an exit, it was an hour before I was able to measure and photo this beauty before sending him on his merry way. final results were 37" by just over 21" for 21+ lbs. I decided I would end on a high note and called it a day at 8:30

Ok, Ok .. I'm a fly guy and even though it's 'legal' to put a scent on a fly (that surprised me, I would have thought that addition would have made them a 'lure,' but not so per Oregon Regs.) few ever do.

Kandy is a additive to the Alaska Nitro Bait Cure. Some folks call these additives "bite enhancers".

beat that... a guy might have to tell a story to top that fish. looks like you are the hot dog. its always good to see spinning out fits get some recognition too. there is a big misconception that they for green horns, used correctly, they are every bit as good as any casting rod.

I have found the spinning outfit is about all you can consistently use in these smaller streams due to the cover and streamside brush.

I'd add to that: a 'bubble/fly' combo. Faaar more effective than a fly rod/traditional line is ever likely to be .. with the average fisherman holding on to the fat end of the rod.
