Last season was a good year for hunting for me. Early season filled my Doe tag on the first day in GMU 335. Saw several Elk but no shot. The late season Elk in GMU 130 was also great. Saw Elk and Deer but no shot, just being there was good. After Thanksgiving went to Montana for a Buffalo hunt. Got a nice 1000lb Cow with my Muzzle loader. Well that was my year hope everyone else had a good one.

Was the buffalo hunt on a ranch or do they have tags for those? That would be fun to hunt.

Scubaian, the buffalo hunt is on Ted Turner's ranch south of Bozeman, MT. There are no tags required you just pay for the size of the animal you want. Not much of a real hunt but a lot of fun and good meat for the freezer.

they do have tags that they are now putting a lotto out for, I know its 75 bucks for me to put in, they're from the yellowstone heard and getting out of hand

Just curious and if you don't mind divulging....how much your's cost? I like buffalo and if the price is right i'd consider takin one...otherwise i'll stay with elk and hopefully moose. Tight lines!

I heard something about how they had put a halt on the 2nd season of that bison hunt. Any truth to that, and if so, how come?
Also read an interesting article about how there was a convicted felon who entered and actually drew the tag. Good for him except he's not allowed to have a firearm in his possession. Now common sense would say there might be a law regarding the opportunity of felons to draw tags for hunts that they can't shoot on. Explain that.
