Every Martin I have owned has been a good working machine...thats my recommendation after 28 years in the sport.

Martin, Hoyt(mine), Bowtech, the list goes on and on...do what you're doing and that's ask questions. For me I bought used from a friend when he upgraded to the switchback. Mine was 200 complete for a 3 year old bow, his was over a grand. Good luck!

Would be willing to sell my archery gear as a package for $500 I have more than $500 in my onieda by itself

I currently have a PSE and had a Darton before that. Both are great bows. Get out and try some out - if it doesn't fit you it won't be nearly as much fun to shoot!

There are a lot of good bows out there. I have a Hoyt Cybertech and love it but would be just as happy with some of the others. Wife has a Parker and she likes it. Price was good. If you are just trying it out I would go for a good priced used one first to make sure it's your thing. Just make sure it fits you and be sure to shoot it first. A good new outfit can easily get up to 800 dollars plus and they depreciate very quickly. A good rest, sight, quiver, arrows, broadheads add a good chunk of change. Good luck

You could be wasting 5oo.oo bucks if Marty's bows don't adjust to your draw length and draw weight. Make sure you go to a pro shop and get your draw length measured and check what poundage you are comfortable with pulling, before you spend the money. And like a couple of the have said go test some bows out before you make the decision. E-bay has lots of used bows for sale.

I believe so. Try here which is near you. They have an indoor range.
