I am getting geared up to start fly fishing again for steelhead. I remember when I fished with trophywaters that they had srike indicators made from a corkie and yarn. The yarn was combed out and then floatant was applied and the yarn stood up and was highly visible. Anyone know a site where I can get these.

Haven't been 'on line' for a couple of days so missed your post. The indicators you want are called "Hart's River Detective;" I keep a few in my chest waders for fishing "close in" here on the Rogue.

Don't know if this phone number is still 'ok' but the package says they're in Mt. Shasta CA at 530 926 2431. Worst case, give them a "Google."
Fred

I just did the 'Google thing,' you'll get lots of 'hits' on where to purchase them.

"Indies"? Horrors! (Of COURSE I use 'em..)

Mine are "conventional", but corkies would be great!

But "BG" will give us a lecture, and we don't need THAT!

I use these they are like corkies but have a tapered tube which the line goes through then you make a loop and tuck it between the tube and the float and when you bring in the fish it tightens then slides down the line
