Nevermind I have one inbound... Out of chance I got a line on a litter that is only 3 weeks old with a extreme bloodline. Probably overkill for what I'm looking for but I'm in it for the long haul here. These dogs are pure bred and both parents are champions numorous times. The way I look at it is this bitch will be standing over me when I'm dead or I'll be be standing over her. The breeder gets fist choice of the bitches so I have 5 males and 3 females to choose from. The call is mine and I'm first in line. At 3 weeks old it's hard to tell what the dogs attitude will be but Marsha I agree you need to make your own choice.

This little one seamed to be a loner. I for one respect this. I'm not a hunter and I'm not looking for an agressive dog. I even think Billy is good folk

Stayed tuned I'll post more pics soon as the selection process continues...

Marsha, I haven't picked one yet. The just opened there eye's a couple of days ago and still are not really active. I'll go back in a couple of weeks and make my pick. The mother was there and besides looking a little worn was a very cool dog. She could smile on command. I'm not talking a small smile, I'm talking a big grin. I have never seen anything like it. Here's here parents. Her father is 84lbs and the Mother is 65lbs.

Cute pups.

I hope you know what your getting yourself into. Even if you don't hunt you may have to take it up because the dogs gonna want to. Those pups are gonna be firecrackers. They have a killer pedigree. I know of that rebel dog and he's a dandy. I couldn't get the mothers site to work.........

Benny, I hear ya and I do know what I’m getting myself into. Besides 3 years overseas in the service this is the longest time I have gone without owning a dog. It’s time and your right Rebel is a proven dog many times over. The bitch is a JH now and will be a SH by fall. She comes from a Duck Buster clan. There site must be down because I’m having problems with it also. Here’s what I have on hand for the Dam.

Dam: Autumnsmoonlighten Sensation, JH
Dam's Father: Bluepond's Duck Buster, MH
Dam's Mother: Diamond R's Cattail Katty, MH

She no doubt is a working dog and I’m going to work her and I’m talking with out hunting her. Obedience and training baby…. And lots of it! I can hardly wait to pour my time into this pup.

Here’s some more pics I just received from the breeder...

and some attitude

I have never had a problem with dogs that chew stuff up. Or bite. My purpose of owning a dog is companionship and guarding and every one has excelled at that. They know what their position is in the family "pack" right from the start, and they know what belongs to them and what is OK to chew.

Allowing a dog to manipulate you just a little is not a bad thing either. Some dogs resent being trained too much and it makes them psycho or neurotic. Under training is even worse. Know the limits of the dog regarding training, cuddle and love them to pieces and you'll always get a good one.

Works on women too. Ask Caveman.

Cool Jim, Pups are a sign of new life IMO and trust me I need this. So what kind are you getting? Considering your taste in trucks let me take a stab at it and say a Cockapoo

Yep, my taste in dogs is equivalent to my taste in trucks. I'm getting a Brittany female sired by DC Bourbon XIII the 2005 Purina All Age Dog of the Year. The dam isn't campaigned, but does well hunting in Montana. A pic of the sire is below.

Jim that's a pretty dog I'm thinking you might give a dog of that qaulity a complex riding around in Chevy. Of coarse with a Chevy that (who stepped in it) smell becomes normal over time. What makes me laugh is the newbies in the truck checking out the bottom of there boots

Thanks. I'm sure you have experience with smells since you just bought another Toyota. BTW, I'm still going to look into a new truck when the '07s come out. Maybe the pup won't have to ride in a Chevy too many times! It depends on what Ford produces come fall.

It has to get born first, but I hopefully will in a few weeks. Ford is supposed to be seeing the light according to Edmunds for '07. We'll see.
