At this point, I've got room for two more on each day, Thurs the 20th and Friday the 21st for halibut fishing out of Port Angeles. Thursday, Musicman and I are fishing, and Friday, Marty and I are goin'. Good tides early. We'll be leavin' the PA Boat Haven about 0600 both days.
Fishin' out of Bleu belle. Hopefully find some If you wanna go, shoot me a PM. Mitch

Wow Mitch, sweet ride!
Grizz, make sure to see Rudyard Bay/Punchbowl cove, best part of the trip back when I did it! New Eddystone rock is pretty cool too.

Fished several spots west of PA with Marty and Caveman... big , although Caveman caught a huge dogfish that we considered filleting for about 1/2 second. Didn't see any one with a halibut, even though we were using the same techniques as all the "locals" we found out there. We had a good time, even if Marty was lacking in the sleep dept. It was great to meet you Mike, and we'll have to fish together again. Both these guys are "old Salts" and "seasoned fishermen" which made the whole trip much easier, and enjoyable. Thanks for coming guys!!! Had to call FishChaser and cancel for today, due to the lousy forcast for winds 25-30 knots, 3'-5' seas. This time the weatherman was right, I haven't been down to the harbor yet this morning, but the wind is blowing at least that here at home. Not a good day to be out on the Strait. Loner, Chris, and Gooose (and Mrs. Gooose )are coming over for tomorrow's assult...will keep you posted.

Glad you had a good trip although the catching wasn't good.....feeling so-so still...had to sleep on the couch Wednesday night due to my gagging and coughing every 5minutes....still not feeling 100%, more like 65 but at least I can snuggle with the honey now....other than an extremely sore throat, i'm good. Thanks for the offer Mitch, wish it woulda been a done deal....met Caveman and Marsha but never fished with em...but, they are on the radar screen sometime if we can get together. Hope you have better luck tomorrow...btw, Scott/Mitch....you SUCK..only say that cause I'm soooo envious of your summer occupations....but at least I'll be cuddled up next to my woman. Safe journeys fellas and look forward to fishing with you this fall!!!!

was a good call on cancelling todays trip as the straits are ugly today. NOAA was right on the money with the forecast. Glad he didn't make the drive to get stuck at the dock. I knew it would be a good trip even with a skunk because of the company sleep could wait . I need to stop walking in marinas.. I get serious boat envy.
Our tactics for the trip were good but we have room for improvement since the ultimate judge is a noisy fish box. I am sure Nav sucess rate will go WAY shortly.
Caveman thanks for the anchor lessons

I don't know what you guys did, but Caveman's still in a good mood.
He had a really good time. Thanks for getting him out of my hair. I did have to render an explanation as to who Chrissy is though. Caveman forgot he met him once at a seminar.
Good luck to the next group. Hope you stumble on a big herd of them!

Mrs. Gooose decided the 3:30 am wakeup was not workable. Means I can sleep in til 4 am.
I'm bringing a 2 pound mackerel for bait plus octopus. Time to fish east of PA me thinks....my friends have been getting butts off the Hook and at Green Point.
