Thanks Brian...Do you know how often it isn't open?? And is that for each species? Also are the numbers figured by best guess or sonar?

I believe numbers for that drainage are based off of Cook Inlet counts as well as sonar. Not sure. The Alaska regs are out online for 2006. It's been open for Kings the past few years. Usually thats what it closes for if they close it. Jeff Woodward from Forks owns alodge on Lake Creek wich is a Yetna tribt. I dobn't remember his website offhand. I know they fish it hard all season. It also had runs of Silvers and all the rest of course. I think the trout fishing can be good in the tribs as well.

Yetna River or Yentna River? Yetna is trib of the Yukon and Yentna is trib of Susitna and is NW of Anchorage.

what species are you after and how do you like to fish? the Yentna is a big glacial river and thus has little fishing except at the mouth of clearwater tribs. There are lots of opportunities on the tribs however. You looking for a guide or are you a do it yourselfer?
