Rod Suggestions?
      #245313 - 05/09/06 04:27 PM

For those who like a little "bass" now and then, I'm interested in buying some new rods. I have a few crucial needs, and am open to suggestions.

I'm looking for medium range rods, nothing real expensive, but no yellow rods either. Like I said, I need a couple as I just acquired several reels that I need to partner up.

I need a flippin' stick, looking at around 7', MH. I would also like a crank/rattle rod, probably 6'10'' - 7'.

I've already got a general all purpose rod for anything else that I desire. But I really want something specific for flippin' jigs, tubes, and sh*t Same with cranks.

Spinning rods I'm not so concerned about. I already have a few in mind.

Appreciate your insight.

Don't know what your budget is, but for around $100 Bass Pro Shops has the EXTREME line of rods that are pretty good. I have 3 so far and am planning on getting a few more. I have a 7' M casting rod I use for jigs and texas rigged plastics and a 7' M spinning I use for tubes and jig worms. If you can wait for them to on sale you'll find them for 60-70 bucks.

Shimano Compre rods are nice too... I have a 6'6" M casting I use for everthing from spinner baits to carolina rigging to bigger crank baits.

Hope this helps
