Check out the NEW RIDE
      #246708 - 05/21/06 04:09 PM Attachment (0 downloads)

Well, I bumped my head and bought myself an early birthday present. Birthday will be this Thursday. I'll be 42.... SHIKES.
She's an 06 2500 with the Cummins w/auto.

Does 42 qualify for mid-life crisis??????
This will look SWEET towing my boat.

SF, Oh I have taken more than my fair share of crap for buying another Dodge. But, I figured I got one lemon, what are the odds of there being two???

what are the odds of there being 2 Dodge lemons you ask? he he... prolly about 100%

Good lookin ride, but I can't get past the D word. With the Cummins in it tho, I think you will be ok. Now if only the rest of the truck will last.

I've never had a problem with either of the Dodge trucks I've owned. One died while mating with a Toyota (Toyota also died) and the other died of old age and 360,000 miles.

Now in the 2 years that I've owned my only Ford truck:
1) complete cooling system replacement
2) transmission re-build
3) new long block motor re-build
4) new brakes, including 2 rotors
5) complete exhaust replacement except headers

The body, including glass and paint, is about the only thing that has not been fixed or replaced. I really like my little truck but I wouldn't buy one again after everything I've had to fix. Anybody want to buy a "new" 1987 Eddie Bauer model Bronco II? Only $15,000.
Brakes, tires and mufflers were the only things I replaced on my Dodges. I think that if you like the brand, you treat it better and then it lasts longer or if you have a bunch of $ invested you treat it better and then it lasts longer, I hope.

I think that all manufacturers turn out a POS once and awhile. Must be the last off the assembly line on Firdays, or the first ones on Mondays.
I've had problems with a new Chevy with the rods slapping around in the block. My 89 I dumpped in nothing but $$$$ into it. I've had a couple Fords over the years, with no problems that I can recall.
I like the style of the new Dodges, which is one reason I bought it. That and I didn't want to spend another 3K for a Duramax :inserttightass:
