for all your guys help i just picked up my new gun got the remington870 express 3" i am looking forward to me and the dog having some fun with it this fall in the field thanks again for the advice and recomendation, in aiding a rook in the right direction apriciate it

Right on! I'm positive you will be more than happy with your new weapon. Make sure you keep it clean and learn how to really clean the trigger mechanism. You keep it clean and lubed, and it'll last a long time.

One more thing, get some Tri-Flow, a tefflon based spray lube. I've used it on my 870 from day one and she's as smooth as a baby's butt.

I second that. I used Rem-Dri-Lube. Also teflon based. Works great!
