Anybody tried it yet....
I tried a steak $32.00 bucks worth and I wasn't impressed. Don't get me wrong it was good but damn for $32.00 I could buy 5-6 really nice New Yorks. The grill is warming for some Kobe burgers. It was $6.00 for two half pound premade patties. Rumor has it this is the ticket.

Is a "Kobe beef" what they are now calling a rape charge in Colorado?

Kobe is supposedly good, don't know personally, but it is expensive.
I saw on TV last week a restaurant in FL has added a 20 oz burger to the menu that is a tri-blend of Kobe, Argentinian, and Angus beef. Supposedly this burger is the cat's a$$, but it's $100.
I'm thinkin $100 could buy a lot of Five Guys or even BK for that matter.
$100 for a burger- no thanks!

With Kobe beef, I think it depends on where you're getting it (steak wise). Most of the stuff that's sold locally is the lower end Kobe. That stuff should be sold only for burgers. Price is mostly dictated on cost to produce (which these cows are pretty well pampered well above anything you get here). I've had first rate Kobe straight off the airplane. I thought it was well worth the money (though a good ribeye from here I'm more then happy with). But I had a customer on my route had quite a bit shipped in fresh from Japan. Probably the best steak I ever ate. BUT, I couldn't bear spending that type of cash for it. Was it worth it? I think it was, BUT I'd rather spend the cash and buy a WHOLE slab of ribeyes.

Don't they already skim off our best salmon with their nets?
I've eaten all sorts of steaks from this restaurant and that restaurant that are supposed to be the best. I think it's the same with the Copper River Salmon. It's all hype. I've never eaten anything better than the spring chinook and summer run steelhead that I've caught in my "back yard" or the beef that is raised on my family's property.
