How NOT to launch your boat at Island 22
      #255851 - 08/07/06 07:27 PM Attachment (0 downloads)

seems he was backing his boat trailor tp the river with his waders on with rubber souls (you know the kind)and they were a little wet and his foot slipped off the brake and plunged it into the gas pedal and down they went.

Thank god he was OK.

So what does an insurance company do at this point, is ti totalled or what? The one I saw at American lake this year said his dog bumped it in to gear. For whatever reasons come up with when this happens it still sucks.

Many years ago two (total twits who were drunk out their collective "minds") nut cases did the same thing with a brand new boat/motor/truck at the hatchery boat launch on the Cowlitz.

Everyone on the bank, who they had been bugging like hell with their racing up and down the river .... applauded as the boat, trailer and truck "slipped beneath the waves."

Which is why I ALWAYS set the emergency brake. Not 100% fool-proof, but better than just leaving it in park.
