I am going down to central point to pick up my new willies boat and wanted to fish on the way home. I leave on the 24th of August and will be there for 3 days. Any suggestions on where my dad and I should fish. Thanks Roach

If you want to try out the new DB, you will have lots of options for fish on the Rogue, the Umpqua(north or main, avoid the south umpqua-no water and no fish other than smallmouth), and probably the coastal streams if you want to go that direction.
It's very easy and convenient if you want to fish for silvers on the Umpqua just out of Roseburg (on I-5). Try launching your DB at Amacher Park(on the north end of Roseburg) and drifting down to River Forks Park (north and south umpqua confluence). Fishing is usually good between Sawyer Rapids and River Forks for silvers.
If you don't have a turnaround ride, just go to River Forks and you can fish all over that area with good success.
Hope this helps.
PM me if you want any other suggestions.

Being you're already on the top end of the Rogue, stay there. Latest fish count over Gold Ray has 5,000++ fish through the counter. Even subtracting the fish in the hatchery, there's still 4 thousand some swimming around in the top 30 miles of river.
My recommendation is the Hatchery to Shady Cove. Fred
