I dont know if any of you have used these or heard of them but i was doing a little surfing and found this for all you saltwater guys. It seems like most of these guys are using them for saltwater fish in the southern parts of the country but I don't see why it wont work for salmon.

Looks like a variations of the Point Wilson dart or Dungeness Stinger salmon jigs. They work and I suspect these will also. If you ever go thru Sequim, Port Townsend or Port Angeles stop at Swains. They have a selection of unrigged darts/jigs in various weights and colors. Buy split rings and hooks in bulk and you can make up the same jigs for half the cost or less.

One of the secrets to darts is to use contrasting colors...the deeper you fish them the stronger contrast you want.

The fancy flashy patterns offered won't do worth a damn in our waters unless you are fishing real shallow. Basic all white, solid silver, or either with a dark contrasting black or green back works best locally.

I just watched the video explaining how to do it. With this lure your not supposed to drop the nose of the lure so i think you'd have to drop it below a school and work it up through the fish. They had a small clip of how it worked underwater and that thing had some crazy action. There was even a couple pics of salmon in the video.

If you try jigging salmon in the salt keep a sharp eye on where your jig is gonna show up on the retrieve. Silvers will commonly chase it right up to the surface and occasionally kings will do the same. Heart stopper when you first see your jig and spot a 20 plus pound king below it. Sometimes a quick stop and drop will cause a hookup.
