Mainline road at Vail Tree Farm new
      #263198 - 10/11/06 09:01 PM

Can someone give me directions to Mainline road gate at the Vail Tree Farm?

I have a Weyerhaeuser map, but I can't that road on it. Can't find it in the Gazetteer, either.

The only number I have for Weyerhaeuser is a recording telling me which gates are open.

I'm good. I still have about a year of school left. That's what makes it tough to go out and do the scouting like I should or devote the time in the field needed.

I'm hoping to hit the tree farm on Sunday if I can find out where the gate is that they're opening.

It'll be easy to find, just follow the I-5 like traffic jam. But the easiest way to get there is to go through Rainier, about a mile south of town there is a road that cuts off to the left, called Vail Rd I believe. Follow that for about 2-3 miles and take the right hand Y called Vail Loop Rd.

good luck!

just what Shane said except its Vail Loop Rd about a mile out of Rainier, stay right at the Y...the gate will be there in front of you...Nice area to hunt...it's too bad they don't open the rest of it...I've only been in through this gate once...most times I went thru the 1000 and 3000 lines....good luck. I pulled my map outta archives, you're welcome to it if you want it...lemme know.
