Storing Chantrelles?
      #264360 - 10/22/06 09:06 PM

We have been doing pretty well. Certainly more than I can eat.

The last batch I picked, set out in the garage for a few days. I washed and brushed some of them today and vacuum packed two parcels, one of which I froze and the other is just in the refrigerator.

What would you expect the result to be?

How do you store or preserve them?

For storage of Chantrelles I clean and partially cook then vacum pack.

they don't hold up to straight freezing.. need to do the dehydrater or partial cook or can.
