On opening day we where in Chawella hunting with a buddy of mine. we got to the area we where going to hunt about an hour before light as it started to lighten up we took of my buddy heading one way and us the other. My son and I got about 50 feet from the truck and looked down this hillside into this big draw and there where 3 doe about 70 yards down the hill so we waited after a couple minutes another doe comes out of the brush followed by this buck. after putting 3 pts on him I told my son to take his time and pull the trigger. Well he did and the buck jumped about 4 ft of the ground and then the whole damn hillside came alive after things settled down I told my son we would just wait a few minutes, well after a bit out comes this doe again followed buy the buck, This time my son was sitting so I told him to wait for him to step out from behind the brush when he does take him. Well he did and my boy fires again and the buck comes running up the hill ( Needs more time at the range!!!) at about 30 yards my son shoots again this time I know its a good hit And the deer bust in to the brush. I looked at my son and ask to see his hands Man where they shaking, Well we found the deer about 40 yards down the hill from where he ran. When we gave him the "proper congratulations" I thought he was going to come over that deer and kill us. After that the boy had a perma grin the rest of the day (may have been becouse the blood dried on his face )
