Me again. Still in search of my fist steelie. As of now I am 0 for 5. Was thinking about hitting the W. Frk Hood but it is closed to any angling. So instead I am heading south to the Rogue the weekend of the 25th. My brother has fished it a couple of times with limited success, so I am comming to you guys. I'm basically interested in fly size, color, particular spinners and spoons that are favorites on the rogue, jig colors and size, and - if anyone is feeling extra generous - some hot locations. Fredevans has done well at lining me up on nymph patterns for the Rogue - much appreciated I assure you. What about streamers. Also, I hear that a section of the rogue opens back up to bait for a while. Tips? As always, everything and anything is appreciated. This forum has been an incredible resource for me. And you can bet that when I do hit that first fish , you are going to see pictures of me grinning real big. Thanks boys.

Jake, put some additional info (all good!!) in the Oregon fishing section. Still a ton of fresh fish in the upper 30 miles of the Rogue. Of all the fish I've seen (too bad so many weren't on my line ...) only a touch of colour on a tiny few.
Fish seem to be concentrating below the feeder streams (higher water and sooner or later they will want/need to spawn) so a boat show would be a good idea. Find 'one,' and you've found A LOT!! Fred
