Jake, what a pig! I need more details man. What a sweet dropper. looks like the g-4 is bladed too. Also looks a little chilly. Congrats on a true stud.

wow jake, that is a trophy....congrats!

great pics....in that 2nd one you kinda look like you're freezing your nuggets off....looks cold.

my son adam just got back from doing an archeologic survey somewhere in the nevada boonies last week for several days. said that he saw many, many antelope and mule deer, and only 2 hunters. walked up on [within 15 yards] the largest muley buck he had ever seen and the animal hardly paid any attention to him. his response was "nevada's application system sucks!" [he gave up applying.] suppose that explains why he saw so few hunters, and so much game.

25 degrees in my tent the morning those shots were taken. so yeah guys, it was fugging cold. also was feeling pretty freaking abused after what it took to kill and pack this old boy back to camp. the evening i shot him, i didnt get back to camp till 1:00am. we were camped at 8600 feet, and that evening/night the wind blew like i've never seen. had my doubts for awhile if our tents were gonna survive. eight hour pack the next morning. but very much worth it to me! i love that kind stuff in some sick way!
Sky, specifics on the rack are like this, a 5x5 counting drop tine and cheater on the drivers side. not counting brow tines. tall and heavy, but not real wide 26". that G4 is bladed out a little bit and he does have some other little features that make it pretty unique. This old boy was hidden in a stunted quakey patch about two hundred yards below me. i was glassing the other side of the basin and only occasionally checking out the country behind me. been there approx 6 hrs before the sun shifted enough to allow me to see into the brush this guy was in! he was laying there watching me and had been doing so all day! saw the drop tine and knew immediately it was time to shoot. took him in his bed at an estimated 200-250 yds.

Jake, you really earned that dude, Thanks for the specifics. Nothing better than a DIY backpack hunt in the highcountry, that buck has some serious character. I would of pulled the trigger too with no second thoughts.
