Knight Wolverine
      #269949 - 12/09/06 05:07 PM

After 25 years of ML hunting for deer and elk with sidelock .54's I have finally joined the ranks of the inliners. I bought me a Knight Wolverine in .50 cal with 26" barrel. I am going to scope that baby and see what kind of groups she will do with sabot loads . I think I will have to try the PowerBelt projectiles also as I've heard lots of good stories about them. It is always fun working up a load for a new ML. Bill

Congrats! Sounds fun. The one thing I don't like about WA is you have to choose the weapon. Not that I think the idea is bad, but it means I don't have an excuse to play with other weapons!

If you plan on using during ML season, the scope won't fly. If you want to use the scope during modern season for firearms restriction areas, you're good to go.

Congrats on the new gun.

Dogfish, scopes are illegal for ML season, then?

No scopes during ML season, but during modern seasons in firearms restriction zones you can use ML's with scopes. Washington's rules for ML's are screwy.

The scope will be just for finding the "sweet" load for this gun. It takes the "old eyes" variable out of the sighting in process. The gun comes drilled and tapped for scope mounts, so I may as use all the help I can get. I'll find the guns favorite load, then sight it in with the factory fiber optic sights. Bill
