I wanted to get your guys input on this. I know that squid fishers at edmonds use generators and halogen work lights to attract the squid. I have a pair of those work lights and they don't work any more. I found a cool light online that I am thinking about buying. It says that it has a green light up tube in the middle and a halogen spot light on the bottom, also it is submersable. I could attach this to a deep cycle battery to use. Would it work fine? or do you have another suggestion. Thanks for the help

Check the regulations on the lights. Some states have regs about lights that go in the water. Do not knoe about WA. Any light should work. If it will give out light, the squid should come. I use halogen bulbs off a 12v. Instant light where I want it! You do not have to spend alot on a light. Basically anything will work.

Looked at the same light in Cabelas Website I'm intrigued also , as far as squid and lights . The brighter the light the deeper it penetrates into the sea thus callin them up faster and in more volumes . Ive had good luck with Humboldt Squid by using a lighted squid jig , drop er down and hang on if they are around you'll have a tussle on your hands
