I've been duck hunting for over 25 years and I git my first banded duck today, a drake mallard! The bird was banded in Alberta in August 2005. Dropped it on the Nooch. Only saw two ducks, and I let the Suzy go.
I've shot lots of ducks, well over a thousand, but I finally got a banded one. Last year I had an opportunity to shoot a banded goose, neck collar. I brought mt gun up and then realized that it was Sunday, and GH county was closed for geese that day.

Congrats Andy...we don't get many on the coast and your drake obviously flew quite a ways sideways for you to get him on the 'nooch.
