I have invented the most succesfull Steelhead drift rig ever imagined. This rig will catch fish even when they are not in the river. The ingredients are a molested corky mixed with some yarn, dubbing, marabou and some bunny fur. Steelhead will come from miles around, even from as far the ocean blue straight onto your hook. For just $19.95 you too can be contributing to the ESA listing of Steelhead in a river near you. My easy Steelhead system will include extremely vague instructions on a genuine coffee stained 3x5 card complete with a "too small to be useful" sample of the required materials needed to make the magical rig. You will also recieve an additional order form for the needed materials. All you will need to do is fill in your credit card number. Pricing will be on your next credit card bill.
So act now because supplies are limited!

It's my #1 rig when cold weather drops the rivers to low and clear. I fish them on a size 4 hook with a light spinning rod and 1 or 2 split shot about 24" above them.
Put hook in vise.
Make some wraps of 4lb mono.
Put about 2" of your favorite yarn combo on the hook shank.(I prefer one color of pink or orange glo yarn with a red normal yarn)
Wrap the yarn to the shank with a few turns of the mono.
Whip finish.
Trim yarn.

This can't be healthy. All this fishing is really messing with my head.

My glow bugs were also made in Korea. Are they superior to the ones made in the USA?

Felt balls are time consuming to make, but they'll outlast all others. Sheep are tough.

Those are awesome. I have used that set up for years and done quite well. I use when the water gets clear on a light leader. Real good for small creeks.

MMMMMM!!! No rain for a day. Ill take blowing on hot air on my rod tip (wow that sounds really bad, I would do that too if I could) and frozen finger tips if that means the water cleans up and goes down a bit.

What's the secret to getting the underside of the hook to fill in? I went to the globug site and followed their directions to a tee, everything looks good except the reverse alfalfa part on the bottom.

I cut four pieces of yarn, putting two on top and two on bottom then with Kevlar thread put a couple real tight wraps in the middle. This puffs them out then all you need to do is trim with sharp scissors to the preferred shape. I also tie barbell eyes to the top of the hook, but it is not necessary IMHO. Sometimes I'll fish it as a dropper and the barbells add just a bit of weight to get it down.

Heres how I tie them. When your tieing a bait loop in the first step where you put leader through the eye instead of just letting the line go through double it back leaving a loop then do your regular bait loop..This leaves a loop to put yarn through.Once yarn is placed cinch loop up cut tag end and trim..Its easy and fast and leaves you with a bait loop...

where the short piece of line points towards the hook thats the piece you leave longer and doule back to make a loop BEFORE any wraps..
