this guy tred barta is a total trip. he has a show on the VS. channel. he hunts with a true long bow and wood arrows. last nights show was him moose hunting up in bella colla bc. his gude calls in a bull moose, TB takes the shot at 8 yards!!! scores a double lunger with his arrow. only to have the bullwinkle run into the lake and dies. thats right the bull dies in the lake... so he and his guide have to get this bull from the lake. the guide had strip down to his boxers in november, and swim to the bull and put a rope around its antlers. the six hours later pull the moose from the lake.
how about when he was hunting wild texas boar with only a knife. well dogs too.
or canadian duck hunting in blind... you guessed it, with a long bow!

I see it now and then on VS also.
He also has hunted woodland caribou and a few other shows I've watched had neat hunts.
He is off his rocker tho.

Gained respect for Tred when put together a show on how to get around private land and hunt public areas that would otherwise be left to landowners, leaseholders, guides, etc. he is a tad eccentric, though.

How about the episode where he hunts Alaskan Brown Bear with his long Bow. The guys got Nuts, and not just the ones in his head. To his credit he spends countless hours preparing for each hunt, to ensure he is dead on with his bow. Another good one, when he was hunting Elk, again an 8 to 10 yrd shot. Pretty inpressive, if you can get past how amped-up he is all the time...

Couldn't stand him at first but have grown to respect most of what he does...I just record the show so I can FF through the "Tred" parts.

I kinda wish he had more fishing episodes. The hunting ones are good too though, like the one where he spent hours sneaking up on those rocks or when he was taking a wiz in his waders out duck hunting.

I usually turn his show on, if I'm surfing and see it's coming up. I find him pretty entertaining, and he does put his whole heart and soul into the mission!!!
He don't mind getting knocked down, and bouncing right bac!!!

I hated his episode where he hog hunts with a knife. All they did was follow around some dong then the guide would hold the pig and he would stabb it. wheres the sport in that. other than that i usually like his shows.

He's a trip for sure, but I love his intensity. I've seen 'em all, named some of my favorites already, but missed out on his coyote hunt w/ a bow. Also loved the pig sticking he put on.
My roommates who aren't into hunting or fishing will sit down and watch the show with me every week, which is great. They're always asking me questions and gaining an appreciation for sportsmen and our actions. They may not take part, but at least they'll support. Double bonus!

He's absolutely insane, but like a train wreck I can't look away. He has one of the more entertaining shows on TV. He is also the first to make fun of himself, which gains some respect from me. 180 pounds of blue twisted steel? Well, at least he got the twisted part right.

I don't get to see his shows much anymore, but I think they're great. The one when he peed in his waders was priceless. The time when he found a fresh scrape and rubbed the urine-soaked dirt all over himself was funny as hell too. The other hunting shows are just ads for scents, atvs, guns, and camo. Not Tred.

Anyone who is crazy enough to get that close to a pi$$ed off hog with a knife will get props from me for sure. Unless you've seen what one of those will do to dogs you just can't understand.
He's a little hard to take but he sure puts his heart and soul into it all.

I think this guy is hilarious. His moose hunt is some of the best footage I've ever seen. It sucks when you shoot one and it runs in the water....

Didn't get it scored officialy, somewhere around 220 probably a little less, not much though. Would have been around 230 if he wasn't broomed out on top, didn't have many scorable points on top. Bottoms were hard to beat though. All I know is he takes up the enitire wall and tasted great. I want to go do it again. The boat in the picture is actually close to the one I PM'd you about. We made them ourselves and I am just tired of dealing with it.

I have watched a couple of his shows and the guy is a mess. I watched one show where he shot a tiny brown bear and it was completely rubbed. He called the bear a mature bear when I believe the bear was no older than 3yrs and that would be a stretch.
