Here is a neat little item I saw recently at a fishing show that came to town www.fishhandsfree.com I got one and will test it out this weekend.

Yeah, I think Orvis had one that was a flap affair, with Velcro closure, for use when you unhook fish. I'm careful to wade ashore for doing any other chores so I don't end up damaging the rod - you can usually place it well out of harm's way.

Strange - us Fly Fishers only need them for very much, only changing flies, or replacing a leader, or unhooking fish. We are usually careful to carry them so we can get through obstructions and trees, brush, etc. without getting tangled (or worse!)

Interesting bit of kit; but I'll hold off until they come out with 'pins' as I rarely use a vest and do change my shirt every so often.
