HEY MARTY, A BIG HEADS UP FROM WAPITI, WE JUST EXTENDED OUR BEAR HUNTING SEASON FOR ANOTHER 15 DAYS AND I'M RUNNING A SPECIAL TO CLOSE OUT THE SPRING SEASON. $1,500 FOR A THREE DAY HUNT AND HOW BOUT DOING ONE FOR YOUR SITE SAY MAYBE A AUCTION. THE BUYER WILL HAVE TO BUY THE TAG WHICH IS 250.00 DOLLAR AND THE GUIDE FEE WILL BE WAIVED. IF WE CAN GET THIS TO WORK IT WILL BE GOOD FOR THE BOARD AND ALSO HELP REDUCE THE NUMBER OF BEARS KILLING MASS TREES ON OUR RESERVATION. YOU CAN REACH ME AT 360 276 8367. I don't have a desire to kill any more bear but I do have a friend that I am seeing tomorrow that I am sure will want toi get in on this. Is there just room for one hunt or more?

sorry guys been busy, the season goes till june 15 and we also have a fall hunt which i'm going to try and open august1. your tag would be good for both seasons.

I drove through the res two weeks ago and seen three bear just on the blacktop. Thats not looking anywhere except out the front window. Seems like a good hunt.

I want pics... I'll be there when my boys are old enough to be in the woods. Went back on a scouting trip up that way today and seen another in the road. I stopped the truck and pointed it out to my five yr old. Awhile latter I'm flyin down a loggin road and I hear "there's one dad". I stop and turn around and ask "one what". My son Bodey says "there was a bear on that road back there". So back up real quick and sure enough theres a bear feeding in the middle of a spur road. Pretty proud moment. I've never shot a bear and I'm determinedf to make this the first year.

Yes it is infested. I logged on the Quinalt reservation. Fricking scarey to wander into the doghair treeline in the back of a unit at daylite and find the bark freshly chewed off the tree you have your tail blocks hung on plus a fresh steamy next to it. Visibility was like 10 feet.

Well, no bears tonight. John showed up rigt on time, with help, and we were in the blind from about 3:45 until 9:45, and it was my first time ever doing that kind of hunting not counting duck hunting. Change in plans #1, bringing a pee jug tomorrow.
Saw lots of crows, and with the racket they were making, I thought for sure they would have brought one in. When you're in a blind you get to hear the funny sounds that crows and Jays make, when they don't think there is anybody home. Just towards dark there was a ruby throated hummingbird that landed on a salmon berry bush about 5 feet away.
Crows hate whole wheat Pita bread, but the jays will eat it.
Thanks John for your help tonight, and nice buffalo horns. Try #2 tomorrow night.
