I want to try something a little different for my '07 Steelheader.net support auction.
Let's auction off two seats for a fully guided Fall Salmon trip for September or October @ the Klickitat river for URB's, B Run Steelhead and Coho.
Also @ Cowtilla '07 in July I'll offer the other two seats for the Steelheader.net raffle that will be held Saturday evening July 8th.
The winners and guests of both the auction and raffle will share this fall Salmon trip for 4..you have two ways to win!
The trip will be run on a date you choose from Sept 15th thru Oct 28th @ the Klickitat river in the beautyful Columbia River gorge.
All bait and tackle are included, along with BBQ'd NewYork steaks for shorelunch.
Let's run this Auction thru 11:59 p.m. Sunday July 15th and we'll start the bidding @ $150.00 for these two seats and the auction winner will set the trip date... and remember the other two seats will go for a $2.00 raffle ticket @ Cowtilla. 
So if you're interested in URB's in September...
    
a possible B Run Steelhead, URB and Coho trifecta...
Or great Coho fishing in October, bid high and bid often, as this auction supports this great site...

No kidding, never seen anyone backout of an auction before, looks like Musicman is the winner, congrats...John get ahold of Caughtsteelin to set your date in Oct!
People should make sure they can make the trip, before they bid, or things get all screwed up.

Whats all screwed up about it? Couldn't go due to crazy work and Tuna schedule in September< OCtober,, rather than not show up and not pay as some have done in th epast, I thought I'd back out way before hand. Sorry if it confused anyone!!!!

Woulda taken ya if there were any springers in the river, but don't really want to take ya for a boat ride. River was low, clear and no fish,, I fished 4 trips for 1 bite and 1 fish,,, not my kinda thing to drag ya out for that. Thought we were clear on rolling it into fall????

My 2 cents that probably isn't worth that much... It's fine not to go, but you changed the dyanamic of the auction by bidding and then backing out of the bid. The price may have gone up. A person that didn't even bid may have bidded if the bid wasn't already $300. As it is, Musicman gets a trip for less, but Marty gets less.
Not the end of the world, but not a good practice. It's hard to say what should have happened once you backed out which is why it is kind of messed up.

I've never fished the Klick for silvers...the b-runs should be moving thru too....kinda conflicts with hunting but let's make the best of it!!!
