Flasher makers - any options out there?
      #295782 - 07/23/07 11:47 AM

I am looking to see if there are any other flashers on the market other than Hot Spot, Pro-Troll and Break Away. After talking to the rep for Hot Spot last week, I am not really inclined to buy more of their products.

So any suggestions?

Here is a few at the Berry's Bait site. I think you should be able to find some choices locally too.

Just out of curiosity, what did the rep say?

Wasn't so much what he said as to his total attitude. We introduced ourselves and our show and he just seemed totally disinterested in talking to us, and like we were wasting his time. He just was not a good person to have at a trade show booth.

From our friends who make the bullet baitholder, there is always http://www.fishcatcher.com/ they've got some interesting stuff.

I also understand HarborHog makes and sells flashers similar to the fishflash? You could try contacting him.

Sweet flashers for herring and spinners, but for hoochies and flies, u need a rotary flasher like abe and al, hot spot, or breakaway!

I heard the best flashers are made from wrecked Ford Mustang bodies Chris.

I have drug a lot of metal in my day, back in Idaho. Hell I even remember using wire line when we were trolling for Mackinaw.

Have you tried the Kone Zone flashers? much like the Abe & Al's. they also have an adjustable offset for the bait/lure side.

Let me chime in here and suggest Dee's Diamond Flashers. Invented and made by a guy in the Bay Area. Once I tried these I stoped using the other flashers and dodger's in my box (and I got a heck of a lot of them). These things are killer on all types of fish!
You can find him online at FishSniffer.com a lot. Tell him Terry in Oak Harbor, WA told you about them. You'll find him easy to talk with and very knowledgable.

I must admit I've never seen your show (or where to find it) but I'd like to check it out.

Anyway, I Hope it helps Ya!
Terry B.

Why not call the company and let them now what transpired at the show?

The Hot Spot, Ok'i and Pro Troll are all the same, with the exception of swivels/snaps, etc... Take a look at the patent number.
