Sign up in Idaho ends May 31st for controlled hunts, although moose, sheep and goat hunt signup just ended.
If you apply for one of the above you can't apply for elk or deer controlled hunts.
Congrats on drawing, hope it's a great hunt for you.
We'll know around July here.

I don't usually apply for Montana or Idaho as I don't have hunting partners that are into the out of state thing......If anyones looking for someone to fill a void for next year, lemme know...resume to follow if you'd like....been looking for a long time but no bud's want to shell out the $$ for tags, gas, etc...For me, it's not about the money, it's the trip....much like fishin! Keep me in mind next year fellow sh.net brothas.

thats why I love livin in Idaho! I can hunt general season archery hunts that put me on quality animals all the time! I can also hunt general season mule deer, and if ya put the right ammount of work into it ya have a great chance at gettin a great buck!
early season archery for mule deer is hard work but the shiz

Nada as usual. Any tag worth drawing is next to impossible to pull. Oh well, at least the fking F&G made me wait two extra weeks to crush my hopes this season! Sick bastards.

I drew an extra doe tag and a cow tag. WOW that is three years in a row I have drawn tags. '05 cow tag, '06 11A mullie tag and '07 extra doe and cow tag. LIL

No draw for elk in Oregon, which means I'll probably get a cow or hair tag through LOP or damage. Funny, I get shot down on a spike tag for 1st season, and instead I can get a cow tag that has the chance of being valid until late Nov possibly. Would much rather have that anyways.
I have yet to understand ORs LOP process. If we're within the allowed slots/acre, then why don't I pick up a tag through the draw if I put in for LOP spike, where there are more tags than asked for? I love listening to F&G try to explain it, makes it sound even worse.

I didn't put in for a draw, we usually shoot a cow out the back door with the smoke pole. Don't want to deal with the new regs this year so I conned a relative out of land owners cow tag.
