Humpy Hollow / Everett Ramp 8/25
      #299076 - 08/25/07 09:25 AM

We launched about 5:15. Well, it was supposed to be Humpy Hollow or West Possession. The result instead was a tow back to the dock. Thanks a bunch again to the Arima that pulled me up river from about the No Wake end on the Snohomish back to the ramp. There was also a Custom Weld that offered also. It was nice that at least two were that quick to help. I wasn't make any headway on the river with a paddle! Almost the same as in the river without a paddle!

The main engine wouldn't stay running, so I thought well, I'll use the kicker back to the ramp, but it wouldn't run either. Obviously, a fuel problem. Well, it could be a few things, so I thought I'd check it out in a lake after I checked things out before I gave it the all clear. So, I put it on the trailer.

Anyway, I got back home and unloaded. What did I find, my boat heater sink was slightly hit (I guess at storage). No real damager other than superficial. However, it did leave a rough/sharp edge. Since I'm lucky, it cut the hose that plumbs the kicker. As luck had it, the cut was before the ball instead of after. Otherwise, I probably would have seen/heard gas spraying. It was dark, so I didn't see the cut while I was out.

I'll replace that hose and get rid of the burr later today. My guess is both engines will run fine. We'll see.

As for the report, there weren't really that many people fishing today. We left the ramp area about 6:50 AM, but with the near perfect conditions, I'm sure the fishing was great! So, if you are thinking the crowds are bad at the ramp, they aren't!

Yep, the cut fuel line to the kicker killed both motors.
