Just wrapped up another season and what a season it was, unlike 2006 when we endured miserable weather most of the season as well as terrible silver fishing, there were very few complaints this summer. We had very few days that the weather affected where we could fish, which is rare for S.E. Ak. and though the silver fishing wasn't great it was considerably better then last season, catching kings to the very end didn't hurt anything either. We had alot of days on the ocean that were like this or better
The king fishing was good this year though there weren't alot of "big" kings, think we only had 6 or 7 over 50 including a couple 60's, 60.6 was our big king of the year, caught by a 15 year old young lady, Here's a couple other 50's 53lbs 56lbs.
I didn't break 50 this season but did crack 40 4 times including a 48.6,
a 47, 44 and 41. Had a guest back in June catch a 39.1 lbs. "king of the day" which got him entered in the grand prize drawing in our King of Kings tourney for a new Ford P/U, his name got drawn, 1st time 1 of my guests have won the big prize. Oh yeah, can't forget Navigator (Mitch) he had another great season though we did learn that he has a hard time "navigating" stairs after a couple cocktails

Sounds like a great season with many pleasant memories for the clients. Thanks for sharing the pics....some awesome fish.
Judging by that shirt Mitch is wearing, it looks like he mis-navigated himself into some sort of disco-timewarp. Hope he made it back in one piece with his dignity intact.

I have to concur that this season was awesome. Many great days on the ocean, and inside wasn't that bad either. Couple times I stopped by Bernies, 10 min away and in sight of the resort, and picked up my last King in the 5 or 10 minutes I had left. Looking forward to next year!!!! I may have been a bit challenged in the negotiating of stairs, but I think I learned my lesson, just stay in the salt room, and everything will be fine. And Dean...That' a Genuine Kalaheo, 100% rayon, complete with surfboards and made in Hawaii!!! Surf's up Dude!!
