Some folks are selling them in Tacoma. I bought some button for $8.00/lb. and some open caps for $5.00/lb. I know that it is way cheaper buying them vs. the gas money to go finding them. But like sports or hobby, money doesn't really matter as long as you feel good with yourself. I've never hunt for Matsutake before. Would someone with experience willing to give me some pointer? I don't want specific locations, I just want to know general information to get me started.
Thanks

I've been going out to La Push weekly. I've noticed "Mushroom Buyer" signs. Can you legally pick and sell the boomers? Does it matter if it is National Park or Forest, DNR Land, etc? Sounds like great fun.

Yes you can commercially pick and sell mushrooms. You will need the relevant permits or licenses to do so off of state or federal lands.

Hamma Hamma river watershed is popular. I am finding mine down lower near the saltwater on the lower Duckabush and Dosewaliips.
