Jeep or Quad???
      #302449 - 09/19/07 09:50 PM

I need a trail vehicle. I've been looking for a used jeep and also window shopping for a new quad. I know what I want from both vehicles but I just want to hear pro&con opinions.

Thanks

Blacktail, of some variety. Sitka prolly judging from your locale. I don't doubt it's actually a good buck. Maybe even great. Would'nt really know. I've certainly seen bigger blacktails killed in the pacific northwest.

It's still a tiny little bugger though aint it! Would'nt even be a last day shooter down here. I certainly know a teeny weeny tick ridden rat/deer when i see it! Deer hunting sure would'nt make the list of things I'd like to do in Alaska. Congrats on shooting it close enough to the road so you could ride your frail ass right up to it. Cant even remember the last critter I took out whole.......

Oh I don't know...I've been around a spell and have seen/done much in the way of Critterly Magnitude.

I've no doubt you can't remember your last Critter(nor the first),as it has yet to transpire.

But if you set atop a haybale long enough...something will undoubtedly stumble your way.

True dat. On the other hand, being from the great white north where men are men and women too, I'm sure you have "DONE" much in the way of critters you sick SOB! I'm sure you and the twelve buddies you mentioned earlier take turns wearing "the wig" when you cant lay hand to a critter when the urge comes! I'll bet you got the blonde one on right now dont ya chief!?

Jake, he can't answer you anymore. Apparently he pushed a little harder than he should have. He might have done some research before he took that shot at you though. After your last years Nevada Muley hunt, well documented here. Not too tough to see what you are made of.

He may be the king of all studs, and boss genius. I'm not very smart, and haven't been kicked off this site yet...

Not me man. He rubbed several people wrong including a few of the other Mods. He did kick up the activity level for a bit.

Too bad he is a shooting star. A big flash and he's gone. Much better to display stamina, and harass people for years at a moderate level...

"gem" is a real Gem. He's stumped by "forgotton" and can't read the glaring factoids, denoting hind haunches tethered to fore,to yield a backpack....despite excellent photography depicting same

No bulls, took a cow 2nd to last day then went to Colorado and took another the last day of that hunt past on a few raghorns. Will be in 39 from the 24th till the 31st hope the weather pattern continues. The deer are moving in my neck of the woods, awful early this year.

Sweet Sky. Way to fill the freezer. You're right fall hit like a ton of bricks this season. You could be in for a good one if this keeps up. I'll be in 43 for the deer opener and hunting in snow without a doubt. gonna be a quick one though cuz elk opens the 15th. May not get a chance to hunt the highcountry again late if the precip continues.

On a side note.....littletwig is back and still seems to have a crush on me! Keeps whispering sweet nothings in my ear via private message! I told him to take the wig off but one of his buddies must have stapled it to his bald melon!

Trouble is...Tater Jake is a touch over her head in both expectations and ability.

Makes a great Tater Opera, but pales in substance.

She couldn't like the Real World results...
