Alas the day will soon be upon us. Where will you be Saturday morning? I am not asking for your secret spots, just general locations.
I will be at the soccer fields in Sequim watching the kids play. But I do get to leave late Sat. night to go to Republic for a week of hunting

I love the Republic/Tonasket area...wish I had access but alas...the property I used to hunt has been sold...bummer! Good luck Bux....i'll be working saturday, but will be hunting the vail tree farm the following weekend.

If I had a serious young guy to hunt with I'd be setup on a stand in a nice creek bottom locally. I am unable to pack or drag a deer out of the woods anymore forever. I miss it.

Opening Day I will be working, might head up the kalama on the 14th to Scout a little for Elk and see what eles I can find. Leave on the 19th for 11 days in Montana. Will concentrate on elk Late buck after that.

firedog, be sure and post some pic's when you get back. I didn't draw for Mont. this year and I had 3 bonus points.
I have been lucky enough to draw left over deer tags the last 4 years!
Better take you rod and a few eggs on your trip up the Kalama. There have been years we killed the silvers while everyone else was hunting.

I will be headed to the Cheney/sprague lake area for the deer opener. I am currenlty chasing elk in the sol duc unit with no luck. It seems that they must be in the post rut. I have not heard one bugle and I have covered some serious country. Good luck to all

I'll be in Colville on the morning of the 13th, Mrs. Nav's doe tag and mine in hand.
Maybe a nice buck like last year's will show up,
  
but it should be meat in the freezer in any case!

Well, I just got home after a week of hunting and am I tired. The pics will come later in the week. I got a decent 3 point whitetail with an extra nub that is not quite an inch long. He has monster eyeguards too. The report is as follows... 7 hunters, 1 whitetail doe, 1 mule deer doe, 1 spike whitetail, 2 Three point whitetails (both plus eyeguards), 1 Four point whitetail (plus eyeguards), and 1 Four point Muledeer (plus eyeguards).
