This summer I heard about a lake that people use to jump bikes into becuase of it's depth. Word had it that there was some huge fish in there. Being a curious fishermen, I decided to check it out. Walked the 1/2 mile in and casted a worm on a big octopus hook. I brought my dog with me and decided to sit with him. As soon I sat down, my pole was dragged in water. I quickly retreaved it and set the hook to feel a massive force of power on the other end of my line. What a fight. 15 minutes of reeling in my line time after time, I finally got a glimps of the biggest carp I had ever caught. 34 inches and around 15 pounds. I caught one more that day around the same size. Deffently a new go to spot for me. PM Me If You Want The Name Of The Lake STS_FISHER

Bugle Nose Bass or Rubber Lip Bass. Those things fight great on the right gear. Did ya give it the Roland Martin shooch?

Hell no. But the local mexican's did enjoy the meat. They make one hell of a stew with this fish. I though they were crazy untill I tryed some. If they can make soup out of beef stomeck " Menudo " then I guess they can make it out of anything. STS_FISHERS

Try hot dog buns for bait. Those slimy bastards love it. Just roll it up in a small ball like powerbait and throw it out there.

Yup. Shot lots of them. Locally, Lake Tapps in the spring. Lake Washington has huge ones. Black lake has some big ones also. Hmmmm, Black Lake is connected to the Black River which is connected to the Chehalis. Might be another place to look. Big C, of course. How about hooking into a nice fat 50? Wheaties are one of the best baits. Moisten them enough to roll into a ball around your hook.

Moses has some monsters - but my favorite would be Potholes... especially when the water drops they get balled up in the pools left behind. Bout as close to shooting fish in a barrel as you can get.

As Trouthead says, Wheaties are excellent carp bait.

Ah the ol' desert bonefish. Excellent sight fishing on a flyrod. Better bring the 9wt and a white fluff ball for a fly... stealth is absolute requirment and hang on.

DD I found that a crayfish fly worked good on Lake Michigan. If you see a carp working the shore cast 20 or so feet in front and short hoops and they jump all over it. WFFF
