I purchased a 3 piece 11 weight 15' spey rod blank from Cabelas. Used the gloomis handle kit that was available from Cabelas. The guides were the fuji one foot.
When I received the rod the reel seat was to small for the blank so I cut 6" from the butt allowing the reel seat to fit.
I wrapped the rod in a blue thread with a blue flake epoxy finish. The rod looks real nice with the finish.
