Is this BB only for steelhead fly fishing? or for all manner of fly fishing. I hope it is the latter. If not disregard this question.
Looks like a good weekend for tying flies or tinkering with gear. (patch those leaky waders) Lately I've been on a traditional wet fly kick for fishing lakes. My favorite is the traditional pheasant tail wet. I love the way these flies look and they catch quite a few fish. What are some of your favorite wet flies for trout lakes? I'm not talking wooly buggers, I'm talking #14-#18 traditional wet flies (with wings and everything). The prettier the better (sometimes it is more fun to fish with a fly you like than one that works). They are definetely fun to tie.
Thanks
RR

Its for all fly fishing related stuff.
My passion is with the dry flies for trout when I get the chance to go. Love that rise and gulp. I have had great sucess with the wooly bugger/leach type flies wet fly fishing.

I use to do a lot of dry fly fishing for trout when I lived in SE Oregon ( Klamath Falls) loved it! But now in WA, mostly wet flies, haha no pun intended! Caught my first steelie and bull trout on a wooly-bugger and lots of pinks and chum on bunny leaches/streamers this past year. I think that being flexable in gear selection and use makes fishing more fun. The idea, at least for me, is to enjoy the experience, so use whatever works, and is legal of course. I tend to go with one thing for awhile and then try something else, just to see if I can actually catch fish in different ways, been working-out so far. Right now I'm really into Steelhead fly fishing though.
