Fished those tribs hard this weekend. Saw lots of boot kings in the Wilson & Chums in the Kilchis. We managed two chrome 25# hens from a little river just south of there. Looking forward to fishing for the Steelhead in the coming months.
I haven't seen ocean bright kings like these in Washington for at least a month. Oregon Kings rule.

Hatchery steelhead in nov, dec, feb the peak I think is in dec. I don't belive the trask has a hatchery run . Look for natives and broodstocks in march.
The Miami and the Kilchis both have c&r fishing for chum right now . Watch out for native coho they have to be put back . I've also hooked into some bruiser sea runs this time of year in the Kilchis. And Christmas Kings should be coming in too. (broodstock hen caught in march on the wilson)

The Wilson'd broodstock program makes for a greal all winter season. They have made an appearance this fall already, although the bulk of them will show up January thru April. The Nestucca also has a stellar run of broodstock about the same time.
I am greatly looking forward to the winters this year.

I would second the Nestucca. All of the rivers should be chock full of fish by Feb. The Trask receives no hatchery plants but many stray into that river. For early season opportunities I would suggest the North F. Nehalem . From about Christmas onward things should be kicking into gear
