I got my first Phesant yesterday. A friend called me up and wanted to know if I wanted to go for a walk with him to give his pup some excerise. She will be a year tomorrow, he has her pointing pretty good but she flushed a few early. She then locked up good on a teesle patch and we walked up and flushed this guy and two hens. My friend missed the first shot and he (the bird) was going strait away from me and I made mine count. It is my first phesant I was stoked! LIL

The golden is a SPOILED house pet (wifes companion while I work swing shift). She is a very good dog and very obident. I have not worked with her much but her noise works very well. I can take a chucker wing and drag it across the yard and hide it and she will go find it but not wanting to bring it back just yet. I am going to get a Chocolate lab in the near future and do the training and have a bird dog. LIL

Very cool!! I would be going after more of those but I have an elk tag that starts the 10th. Just a cow tag but it is elk hunting all the same. But you can bet I will be casing more roosters after I get my elk. Junkie you should come over next September and Go on our chucker hunt. 4 days of floating the river killing birds, catching smallies, the ocasional steelie and drinkin adult beverages around the fire on the beach in the evening. LIL

Nice pheasant. Hopefully we'll be killing a few more in about 10 days. Study up on the elk anatomy some, although I'm confident on my tracking skills, they are best left unused.
