Hey duck hunters!
      #313221 - 12/16/07 07:34 PM

Hey was out hunting this morning, got there nice and early started setting up and low and behold. Another group comes on in to hunt too . Great love it when you can get a BIG section of water closed off to the birds, so they don’t get too comfortable. BUT (and I’m not saying it was any one hear I would like to think that were all smarter than this.) I don’t like it when they set up 150 yards away from me…………………………. If you water fowl hunt Please be smart if some one is out there and there setting up Please Move on to a good distance away. There was only 2 boats out there and at least 1 ˝ miles of shore. There was no reason not to have 300+ yards between us. And no reason to set in the middle of the flight path, and sky bust. It ruined a possible great day. There were birds all over the place, mallards, widgeon, surfs, Golden’s, buffles and even pintails. But when they saw the other boat, that was it. strait up and out. So if you hunt on public land, look out for your fellow man. And don’t set up to close, cause you could ruin there day or they may just ruin your hunt too. I have been busting limits till the last 3 trips. Sorry had to vent and hope to show some new guys that crowding isn’t the answer. Jim W

Jim as I said in the pm they belong to what I've always referred to the Quarter Mile Club. Any boid that comes near get's shot at even if it's out of range.

I can't imagine what posesses people. I mean, just for safety alone. I don't like even being able to see anyone else. Plus, I don't want anyone to see my shooting - LOL.

That's a bummer. I've given up some pretty good spots just because this kept happening. It's worth a little extra drive for me, and maybe even a few less ducks to not have to put up with the jerks.
