Bubble in decal
      #313283 - 12/17/07 07:53 AM

I built a Rainshadow IST1025 with a green blank and put a decal on it. Several days after I epoxied it a bubble developed under the decal. Any recomendations? Can I buff down the epoxy and replace the decal?

If you can live with it leave it alone.

I'd say it was a defective decal, and send the whole thing back so Karry can fix it...

Dont feel bad about the decal mishap it happens all the time. Now fixing it is a huge pain in the ars so go out and put a bunch of egg go on the rod and you will never know the diffrence. If its a rod you are selling give the guy a discount option.

Onr thing I have done is cut or buff the finish as close to the decal with out cutting into it.Carefully make a small cut into the bubble with out touching the blank. Put a drop of pema gloss and let dry. One more coat of finish with care to fill the hole. if the hole isn't filling up then as the finish is setting up put a drop of finish right on the spot then a little heat (if it's Flexcoat)will blend it in.
If your using LS Supreme do not use heat!
