Anyone here bank fish the Sandy? I am new to the river, and wanted to see if anyone would be willing to share some info.

Well ... the Sandy's not a coastal river ... actually flows into the Columbia just east of Portland. Not sure if there's an 'access map' done on the river, but if there is I can assure you that flyfishusa in Welches will have it.
The only access I'm sure of are the County/State parks such as Oxbow. Fred

Quite a bit of bank access on the lower Sandy. If your willing to hike a bit go to the hatchery and hike down the hill and start fishing downstreamm, some killer water there.

Are you talking about Cedar Creek? I was up there a couple days ago. The water is pretty high and running hard. There was another guy up there who said it has been really slow for the last couple weeks

Most Sandy fish are headed ultimately to Cedar Cr. hatchery area. Mostly a broodstock run now (used to be early run based on Big Cr. stock). Timing= Dec-April
