I've observed them there and also large flocks migrating overhead there and here on the Canal.

Yeah, I was up in Saskatchewan two years ago, and the daily limit is 2 per day. There were so many of the %$*&^# noisy things flying over, and I didn't care to shoot one, but some of the other guys in the group did. They looked like a giant B-52 when they fell.

I just settled in and shot the geese and ducks that presented themselves. (We got 73 birds among the 5 of us that morning!)

During the late season goose hunts in February and March we see them around Lake Vancouver.

Saw 40 or so swans today by Keys Rd.

They look like a string of long johns falling out of the air. You should have shot some, they are arguably the finest eating of the migratory birds.

Cluck, you in for a hunt next year? I want the feathers for fly tying, and I hear they call them prime rib in the sky...

Thats exactly what they taste like. Are you talkin the draw or to head north? Either way it doesn't take a lot of persuation to get me into either. Have you by chance seen the honker numbers on the refuge right now??? Unbelievable... The best flights out the south I have witnessed.

I was thinking the draw hunts for cranes.

I just got back from Cali, so I haven';t been looking at bird numbers. Brett said there are tons of ducks flying the Snake, but high. Where are you hunting?

I've been shootin coyotes but I know where there are a ton of ducks close to you. They aren't feeding far from the roost, so it's a little hard to find them. Honkers S. of refuge.

Yes but there are always a couple of boners hunting it. We gave up on it a few years ago because it became to much of a cluster and a hastle. They have no clue what they are doing and couldn't finish a bird if their life depended on it. You would think that after years of huntin prime realestate they would get it.

Pez, bring your floaters next time. I'd like to see Maggie fetch a goose. Might be a stretch for her...
