Hey guys.. heading down next week to fish the Sandy with Jack Glass who I'm told is pretty much the guy to fish with on that river. We're gonna have a day on either side of our guided trip to get some fishing in on our own but know next to nothing in terms of where to go etc. We'll be banking it and I understand the Sandy is pretty limited in terms of bank access. Just curious if anybody had any suggestions about some other areas that might produce a fish or two.... Thanks in advance.....

One time in Jack Glass's old boat, Luv2fish was drinking a beer and I actually caught a fish. No kidding! He even has the pictures to prove it...

Well yeah, booking Jack for the other days had occured to me luv. If only I knew some rich trucking company owning fat-cat who could fund my fishing excursions ......Oh wait, So what are YOU doing next week ? And yeah Joe, I defineatly plan to drop your name and mention his old ride. Maybe Jack will get a bit nostalgic and take us crackers to the ultra double secret guaranteed to limit honey hole I'm sure he's got tucked away for his real clients!

Right now I'm just hoping the weather does'nt put the screws to us......... Looks like nothing but rain region wide for the forseeable future. as long as the rivers stay in decent shape I may just drive down and fish the Nestucca. Somewhat know the program down there........

Wilson is a possibility Joe. Spent a day on it one time so I know of a couple decent stretches. We may also hit the Columbia for sturgeon with my buddy in Vancouver. I guess it's not exactly primetime but it's a back-up plan if nothing else pans out.......

Wilson is where I'd be. Some nice fishies there about now.

Sigh. River full of fish, and a river full of water. Sooner or later the Chetco will drop below 10,000 cfs and I can get back to my fly rods.
Plunkers are actually having a good time of it all even in the ongoing high water.
