93 4 cyl Camry. Wants to stall out at stops and turns when warm up after 15 minutes on the road. Engine runs a bit rough at 40 mph and below. Looking at engine coolant temp sensor, idle air control and egr. It has a recent tuneup and new spark plug wires.

Are these new issues since winter? I have some of those symptoms every winter and I cure it with Heet in my 93 t-bird.

I'll try the gas dryer. SFC the linkage is one of the first things I looked at. I'll try the cheapest parts solution also...bout $20 for a new coolant sensor. After that parts get expensive.

I think you are on the right track with the coolant sensor.

Working on the new car already. Music I'll be spending most of this coming weekend with an ohmmeter testing the parts I listed.

My 94 Blazer had very similar symptons, I took it to a buddies shop in Vancouver and they diagnosed an EGR problem, said carbon was getting stuck, it would run like crap at idle and low speed some days and run fine others. They replaced the EGR valve and put a screen on it and it runs great, did a couple other things as well and it helped mileage and power.

Just something to consider, any evidence of critters in the engine area. Every time it gets cold there is a rash of rats having lunch on car parts as they look for someplace warm to hide out.

Problem seems to have resolved itself. I suspect it was a bit of bad fuel....Aunty pointed out that likely source of the problem. The Brinnon general store is the likely source of the bad gas.

Throw a can of Sea-Foam in the gas tank. Good stuff.

If it comes back, check the muffler bearings and replace as needed, then add windshield wiper fluid, radiator coolant, and brake fluid as needed. Last but not least, make sure all tires are properly inflated.
I can't think of anything else it could be, so if these tips don't help, it must not be broken.

"If it comes back, check the muffler bearings and replace as needed," Tony if you were setting chokers for me back in my logging days I would have sent you to the landing for a Hindu.

I don't know if it's the actual gas at a particular station. I get this moisture thing every winter now in the aging T-bird so I think it's condensation from freezing/thawing and such. Caveman buys the same fuel at the same station as I do for his Scion with nary a hiccup. I'm having to treat every tank now.
Wish spring would get here faster.
Oh, and be sure to replace the thingamajiggies on the whatchamacallit.

I know that one too and I stood on my share of landings as a kid setting behind cat/building roads

a little late but i know with japanese cars this symptom is usally the idle air control valve gets gunk in the screen or is bad and most of the time will not throw a code if it deos it while cold it also could be the fast idle thermo valve you can open it up and screw the plastic peice back in and it will work fine ive to do this allot on jdm engine i install
