Thanks for the feedback...I didn't think of such an obvious answer. I assumed that there was something on the fishing market or rod builders world, but super glue sound like a great idea.

i like 5 minute epoxy for quick repairs. super glue isn't that great of a choice in my opinion.

I too would opt for an epoxy

Superglue can leave rough residue that will abraid your line. Epoxy cures smooth, and much easier to
clean up the the drips and extra adhesive if there are any.

I don't think super glue will hold up to the moisture either

Greg, I beleive you are talking about the tio-top, and supergluing it in place is also a bad idea. If it ever gets stepped on, or shut in a door, or the insert (ring) falls out, how are you going to replace it? With epoxy or hot glue sticks, the tip-top can be gently heated and removed, then replaced. With Super-Glue, you have to cut it off and glue on another.

I have found that replacing the guide is the best fix. I will use zap a gap in the field but always replace when I get home.
Loosing a large fish because a ring that was reglued fell out isn't fun. Yep I did it. It took 3 trips out but did fail.
